The
54th
Jasmine Movement by Democracy Party of China (DPC)
Reported by Wang Lili
The U.S District Committee
of DPC.
February 25, 2012, Saturday, the U.S.
Easter Time 9:00pm. Temperature: 15 Fahrenheit, wind: 4mph, wind
direction: west north, place: New York Times Square.
It was a cold night, but it could not
stop us from building a wall of democracy. The chilly wind couldn’t
cover President Wang Juntao’s clear and sonorous voice. He
analyzed the current situation of China’s democracy and the
ruthless detention of democrats and dissidents. From the beginning
of the state built, suppressing the class enemy, beating the leftist
and against the rightist, arresting rebels, seizing hidden traitors
until today’s China, committing crime and being tortured due to
speech. The dignity of life was not respected by the CCP in China.
We don’t give up the hope because the voices of democracy never
stopped. Nowadays, the Chinese citizens’ democratic consciousness
and ideas are rising days by days. What we do today is to speed up
the steps of democracy and political process.
President Wang Juntao’s speech
warmed party members’ hearts.
I know that I am not alone in this
cold winter. On the path of seeking freedom and democracy, I have
more and more partners to go with me. I am proud of being one of the
members. New York City Committee of DPC, President Zhang Jian,
encouraged everyone to “insist, insist and insist again.”
In the chilly wind, Zhang Yuhong led
us to sing a song of Jasmine. President Wang Juntao led us to chant
our strong slogans.
Participators: Zhang Yuhong, Li Wen,
